Q) What is the Birth Year/Age Division cut-off for each division?
I
A) CFBGSL uses USA Softball as our governing body for rules including age cut-off rules. A player's age for the calendar year is based on her age at the start of that year. For Example: a player born on January 1, 2014, would be an 8U player for all of year 2023. While a player born on December 31, 2013, would be a 10U player for all of year 2023.

The league does allow a player, if eligible based on a player’s playing abilities, to play up 1 Division if they are within 1 year of date of birth year from that said Division. The Division VP’s and League Board Members will determine the eligibility. (Example: player with a 2012 birth year (10U) may be eligible to play up to the next division (12U) ... If you have any questions or inquiries regarding this, please contact your birth year Division VP and the next Division VP at the same time to discuss whether a player is eligible for this option.

Q) Does a player have to move up to the next age-division with her team if still eligible for her lower age-division?
I
A) No, she does not have to move up. If she is not ready to move up and is still eligible for the lower age division, she may remain, and we will reassign her to a new team.
Q) How is team placement determined?
I
A) All New Players are entered into their division draft poll. Placement is then determined, as best as possible, based on criteria, i.e.…player age, home location, school, and friends’ team. Returning Players that are registered on time will be given priority to return to their Spring/Fall team if they so wish or may request to re-enter the division draft. NEW Players assigned to a team in the Fall can also request to return to their Fall team in the coming Spring IF there is a roster spot available on that team…Those (your) Fall teams will or may have players returning to their team that unfortunately cannot play in the fall due to being involved in other activities or obligations. They are eligible to and can return to their team in the spring filling out their team’s roster for which we would then assign Fall NEW players to another team in the coming spring season.
Q) Can I play with a friend?
I
A) Absolutely! New players and former players may request a team with a current player of the same age. Two new players of the same age may request to be on the same team. Subject to date of registration, roster availability, and meeting age requirements.
Q) Can we form a new team with friends?
I
A) Yes, girls that have not played previously can ALL request to be placed on a team together. So, get your friends from girl scouts, soccer, or any other group activity together and form a new team. Please contact the appropriate VP for your age division to inform them of your possible intention of forming a team and to get information about any questions you may have. Subject to approval by the CFBGSL BOARD.
Q) How do I register to volunteer to coach?
I
A) From the Home Page - click on the “ Register Here!!! ” tab (Big Red Button on the right side). Once in – click “ Register >> ” and follow along with the instructions. Please make sure to provide your D.O.B. and be certain to hit the “ Submit >> ” button at the bottom of each and last page! Also, All CFBGSL Volunteer - Managers, Coaches, Asst.
